One thing I love about winter is that you can wear a lot of clothes at the same time. Well, to be clear I don’t mean to put on everything you have at the same time. I’d say max four layers. It’s all about thoughtful layering, whether it’s a dress over a jumper or a gilet piled on top of a jacket and polo neck. This is a great way to incorporate your favorite summer/autumn pieces into your winter look. And with the same items you can create more than one look. I do like buying clothes and getting something new once in “awhile”, but I’m not happy if I buy something and that item only goes with one other item in my wardrobe. I see it as a waste of money. I do like to buy clothes which can be styled in a few different ways and can be worn with quite a few other items in my wardrobe. I call it smart shopping. I won’t lie sometimes it doesn’t work that way, but I definitely try. And my advice if you see something really pretty but it doesn’t go with anything else in your wardrobe, meaning to buy that item you would need to buy another ten to make it work, it’s just not worth it, well, unless you decided to change/upgrade your wardrobe completely then hell yes, go for it.
Here goes one of my layered outfits. Dress over skinny jeans, jumper and a puffer jacket! And I felt so warm. I had this cold for about two weeks now and I can’t shake it off. I even spent a full day in bed and it still didn’t go away, so now I’m ignoring it and cracking on with my life, but keeping myself warm, so this outfit was just perfect.
Outfit details at the end of the post as per usual.
Happy Weekend. Stay healthy and warm!
